Floor Lock Operation and Function on Carts and Platform Trucks

A floor lock is a manually operated locking device that is mounted between the swivel casters on carts, platform trucks, and other mobile trucks from DC Graves. The floor lock has a small rubber pad on the bottom that when engaged will make contact with the floor and slightly lift the cart off the swivel casters rendering your cart or truck immobile. When you are ready to move the cart again a simple kick with your boot will retract the rubber pad back to its original position. Industrial floor locks for carts and trucks CANNOT be used on carts equipped with all swivel casters. Floor locks are considered a more positive lock than wheel brakes
